Webinar:
The Importance of Using Additive Manufacturing

Eventdatum:

Plats: Online

In the world of Additive Manufacturing, the ability to produce high complexity parts will help companies to reduce costs and quickly pursue new market opportunities on product sustainability.

To meet the challenges of a digital and connected industry (Industry 4.0) where Additive Manufacturing (AM / 3DP) plays a significant role, there is a great need to increase both knowledge and awareness of AM / 3DP. Education for sustainable development means high quality education that conveys, develops and strengthens values and behaviours giving the individual knowledge and skills on different technologies. This webinar is organized in connection with the project “ Skills development and lifelong learning in intelligent industry” under online AM course at Gävle University, financed by Knowledge Foundation KKS.

The webinar highlights the industrialisation and application of Additive Manufacturing in combination with traditional manufacturing processes and avoiding expensive AM machine crashes by simulation approach systematically to safeguards the proper use of AM equipment.

Speakers:
Dr. Sima Valizadeh, Project Manager Additive Manufacturing, Sandbacka Science Park, Sweden (Moderator)

Prof. Olaf Diegel, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Auckland, New Zealand
